To avoid SPOILERS...

Postby OzQueen » Tue Jul 21, 2009 10:14 am

I thought it would be a good idea to post how to "hide" spoilers - especially as some people (like poor us here in Australia) are behind and haven't seen the latest episodes of certain shows.

It's a good idea to post anything that can be considered a spoiler in the same colour font as the background on the forum

To do this:

Type your message as normal, only when you're done, enclose it in colour tags with the colour prompt: #cecece

That way, people have to highlight what you've written in order to see it, and nobody will be spoiled. To see what I mean, highlight below:

Hello! No spoilers here... yet... MWAHAHAHAHA. But see how it's just about impossible to read unless you're highlighting this? It may vary from screen to screen, but it should help a lot when it comes to avoiding spoilers...

If you're still not sure how the [COLOR] tags work, just remove the * symbols from this example, and you'll get it :)

[color*=#cecece]I thought it would be a good idea to post how to "hide" spoilers - especially as some people (like poor us here in Australia) are behind and haven't seen the latest episodes of certain shows.[*/color]

Keep in mind that the font colour will not work on the background after you've quoted someone - if you quote someone, you'll reveal what they say - so please keep that in mind!

Feel free to use this thread to practice, if you think you need to :)

I am very, very clever ;)

No, I took a screenshot and pasted it into PSP, and used the dropper tool to find the colour ;) It's not exact, but it's definitely close enough.

I hope I don't sound too bossy :P I just really hate being spoiled for things, so thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know how to hide their posts... :)

Thanks for taking the time to sort that out Lisa, as it's nice not to read the spoilers if you haven't yet seen it ;)
