Children In Need – 6 Months On

Aled Jones, Hayley Westenra and myself played a lovely show in Langholm Scotland last Friday, 22nd June. Last year, for Children In Need, Sir Terry Wogan auctioned us on BBC Radio 2 and the lucky David Stevenson was the highest bidder.

Here’s some footage from rehearsals during the day, filmed in the smallest hotel room imaginable (p.s. that’s not a toilet in the background!) and the wonderful show that night.

Thanks to David Stevenson and all at the Buccleuch Centre in Langholm for a very memorable night!

Lots of love,
Sharon xx

Great variety of music you're doing these days. Dolly Parton? Who would've thunk it?!
Love the rehearsal vid too. Interesting toilet-shaped sculpture 'art installation' in that tiny room behind you. How avant garde!

What an outstanding performance that must have been! Both the rehearsal footage and the footage from the actual show are fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing with us, Sharon!

Sharon! What a lovely show. If you ever want to come to Texas, you could tour extensively as a country act (*** hint, hint***). I'll even take you to Tennessee to meet Dolly, LOL! Just to let you know, the small room behind you with the funny furniture is the best acoustic setting in my house! Flute, trumpet, voice- everything sounds better in there! Thanks for sharing and congrats to Mr. Stephenson for providing a great gig for a great cause!

What a treat. “Jolene”!! Awesome–love that song…and great harmony on it! This is lovely. In more superficial news, terrific fashion choice. The sequined halter looks fabulous.

There are great voices and there are some that soothe. The album version of Goodbye is terrific but the version that you sang is soothing and you can feel the emotions so much more. I hear Dimming of the Day almost every night before bed. I do love Andrea's voice too. But why didnt you do more lead vocals all these years. Love you.

    I completely agree!!!
I would love if you did more lead vocals with Corrs. Your voice is amazing!
P.s. I do love Andrea's voice too! But it will be a pleasure to have a whole album with your voice.

The face of wonder and amazement of Sharon at 4:37, was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life!

Antho – and all others – should receive a gift by being beside the Corrs for all this time. On second thought, play along with Sharon is the greatest gift.

It was coincidence that Sharon's clothes fit perfectly with the background?
