Hey Everybody!

Wow! What an exciting time. For the last few weeks, I’ve been in rehearsals with Anto, Keith, Jay and Billy Farrell (on keyboards and production) and we had such a lot of fun working the new songs…. and some old ones too! It doesn’t take long to click when you’ve been together as long we have.

So, when we will we be out there? Well, my first single is due for release at the beginning of June. Last Friday, we added strings and brass, scored by the wonderful Fiachra Trench, to some of the tracks and he did such an amazing job. I really can’t wait for you all to hear it.

The dilemma now… which one to release first….

On Monday the 4th of May I appeared on the Dave Fanning Show on RTE Radio One. I had a long chat with him about my favourite music, the new album and touring.

Lastly, it looks like I’ll be doing a lot of Uk/Ireland promotion in June, after which I’m scheduled to play festivals, including the Isle of Wight, with more dates to be confirmed around Europe throughout the Summer.

I shall of course let you know here about all dates and promo plans.

I’m really eager to hear what you think of the new songs and am looking forward to seeing your friendly faces at the live shows.

    As I am only a late fan of the Corrs, I sadly haven’t had the chance to go to one of your gigs. So by releasing your solo album you give me the perfect opportunity to see you live! I am sure any of you is as good as the whole, and I think that those solo experiences can only make you stronger and better (have seen Andrea sing in Barcelona and play in Dancing at Lughnasa in London, so I know what I am saying :) ).

    Anyway, I am really glad you followed your heart and decided to embrace this project. If it depends on us fans you will have all the success you deserve, we will always be with you.

    Maybe Brazil is one of the places you wanted to visit and never could with your family? I would be happy to see you there, even though it is not my home anymore. Munich would be a great place to see you play too. Or Ireland, for that matter. Looking forward to hear the single!

    I loved dimming of the day. It was really sad and at times when I feeling like emo-ing, it is one of the songs that I listen to that makes me tear..

    I think long night was fantabulous and your violin is amazing.

    I hope ‘real deal’ will be a success like all the other corrs album. Just remember, advertising and promo is important for the success of any CDs.. Hehe.. *hint* want it to be #1 album in singapore? Come to Singapore!!

    I think long night was fantabulous and your violin is amazing.

    Now I want to tell you how The Corrs is important to us!

    Dundalk is a brazilian band which was totally inspired by you (as you may see the name)! We play accustic versions of your songs at several pubs in São Paulo, and our purpose is to pay homage to you, for your wonderful and talented work, and to divulge it around here. Everytime we play, there is always a huge receptivity. After all, your songs have this power and magic to fascinate all kinds of ages.It’s amazing!
    We got in contact with traditional irish music because of you, and we liked it so much that we have already been playing other irish songs beside of yours.
    It all started in 1999, thanks to the MTV Unplugged Album. The moment we heard ,we loved it. We felt motivated to learn how to play those instruments, and also to improve on those wich some of us already knew. Rafael plays guitar, and has learned a lot with Jim. Ana Carolina decided to take violin classes, but in fact, she has learned to play it by watching Sharon on the DVDS. As there are no bodhran and tin whistle classes in Brazil, Priscila and Gustavo have learned with Andrea and Caroline. If it’s already a pleasure just to listen to your songs, you can imagine how it is to play them!!! And every day we have some contact with your songs: playing or listening… or both! o/

I love to listen to you play the violin. Your artistry is exquisite. I am learning the viola, so I know that the quality of your performance is beyond adjectives. It is your interpretation of the music even more than your skill that delights my soul. Obviously you put your soul into your music. Your singing also is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with us. I’m sure you enjoy making music (although I’m also sure life gets hectic and tedious at times on the road and in the studio), but what you give to those of us who hear your music is a blessing beyond measure to us.
